The Xilo-tree protection was developed by our subsidiary Xilotrade GmbH
and it's a biodegradable growth cover made from untreated wood veneers.
These wood veneers are particularly sustainable and cost-effective to acquire,
as they are a by-product of plywood production.
The flat, space-saving transport format makes it easy to transport the growth covers to the forest area.
The tree protection can be set up quickly and easily on site.
It is self-tensioning and therefore dimensionally stable. The plants inside the shelter have
a larger growing space inside the protection than with conventional growing sleeves.
As the entire Xilo tree protection is plastic-free, it can rot completely.
The wood veneer is returned to the natural cycle, resulting in optimum CO2 sequestration!
Upgraded Version: Xilo Tree Protection 2.0
To make our product even more efficient for your use, we have upgraded the Xilo Tree Guard to version 2.0.
The new version uses corrugated wire.
As a result—compared to the previous version—no additional installation tools are required, enabling faster and easier setup.
The veneer height has also been adjusted by bringing all veneers to the same height.

Eyelet wire
The eyelet wire is an additional help for mounting the Xilo-Baumschutz.
However, it isn't absolutely necessary for every assembly variant.

The wire-twister in combination with the eyelet wire makes work considerably easier
and significantly reduces the time required for assembly.
The Xilo-tree protection can be set up in different ways.
In general, there is a difference between the installation of the Xilo Tree Protection sleeves and the new Xilo Tree Protection 2.0 sleeves. While the Xilo Tree Protection sleeves require tools for installation, the Xilo Tree Protection 2.0 can be set up directly on-site without any additional tools.
